This well grown plant of Neofinetia falcata, belonging to Bill Haldane, won the June experts table display. (There was no novice exhibit this month.) Bill grows it hanging as high as possible in the coolest part of the warm house. Like vandas, it likes free draining conditions but dislikes being constantly wet. For this reason Bill grows in a slatted basket but has to be mindful to water frequently. In winter water is reduced to allow a dormant period.
Unfortunately, because it was evening, we were unable to appreciate the wonderful perfume!
