Our Annual Show
This is our big chance to showcase our society. It will take the usual format with a display, demonstrations, plants for sale and food. The hall will open at 8.00am to give us a chance to arrange the display and for the kitchen to get started before the doors open to the public at 10.00am.
The committee would be extremely grateful if members could loan their plants for the display. If you are unable to bring them yourself I am sure we can find some one to collect them for the day. It saves time if they are labelled and put (or stood) in black pots and the rim of the internal pot disguised in some way. Steve has this wheeze of slipping an old black sock over the pot. It works well! The kitchen will be passing round the food request lists at the January and February meetings when there will also be posters available for you to take to display locally. We also welcome any prizes that would be suitable for the tombola.
We really value the input of our members at this event and welcome any help we get on the day.so please pencil in the date and add your name to the job lists!
As usual admission is £1.00 for members of the public. It is a good day to talk “orchids”!
The event closes at 4.00pm.
