Bill recently sent me photos of his plants that have recently flowered. I particularly like the magnificent Coelogyne rochussenii. This species grows in South East Asia around the Malay peninsular where it is grown into magnificent specimens that are easily grown in baskets to hang from hotels etc. It likes warm tropical wet climates so Bill has done well to grow such a well flowered plant in Sudbury-not renowned for heat in December! This species also carries a delightful perfume but unfortunately the blooms do not last long.
