This was our annual social evening, sadly depleted by Covid and traffic problems. Nevertheless, 18 members+partners managed to attend and brought a generous spread of food and drink. We haven’t previously had a guest speaker at our social evenings, but this time we were fortunate to have Zsuzsa and Balazs of Spicesotic Plants grace us with their presence. Zsuzsa gave us a talk on Hungarian Christmas History and Traditions and showed us a method of making a Christmas wreath; they also brought a selection of plants for sale.
Andy Gissing did a heroic job of populating the display table and also chaired the meeting; his Bulbophyllum Elzabeth Ann Buckleberry won the Winners Table. There were no entries for the Novices Table.
