Some of our members were unable to come to our January meeting due to an accident that blocked the A14. Nevertheless, we were able to present a decent showing on the display tables, and it was pleasing to see four entries on the Novices table. Although we had no visiting speaker, the meeting was still very busy, with a presentation of members’ photos from the 2023 International Orchid Show at Malvern; a ‘problem plants’ clinic; members talking about plants they had brought for the display tables; and distribution of publicity posters for our Annual Show on 2 March.
Annie Mason won the Novices table with her Phalaenopsis hybrid, and Phil Broom won the Winners table with his Cymbidium Lucence ‘The Globe’.
