Our meeting on 29-Nov-23 was our annual social evening; members brought food and drink to share. Many thanks to those who risked their plants in the cold weather to populate the display tables. John Beavan won the Novices table with his Aliceara (formerly Belleara) Eurostar, and David Kohn won the Winners table with his Bulbophyllum Elizabeth Anne ‘Buckleberry’.
BOC Photographic Competition 2023
We chose five photos from twenty that members submitted to make up the Society’s entry in the BOC Photographic Competition 2023 (see photos at right, some cropped for the website). According to the BOC guidance, we will have an opportunity to vote on the overall winner next year.
Quiz
We were well entertained by a quiz kindly organised by Peter Ager. A tie-break was needed to separate the two highest-scoring teams, who both got 18/20!
